HOW LONG WILL THE PROJECT TAKE TO COMPLETE?
It depends on what you’re after. The time frame to complete your project will vary depending on the details of the job and my current workload. I’m always happy to shift things around to meet looming deadlines/launches so just give me a call – or make a note on an email – if you have a specific date in mind. For a website build, I can get you up, running and live in 2 weeks.
I NEEDED THIS DONE, LIKE, YESTERDAY. CAN YOU HELP?
Eek! We’ve all been there. I am always happy to take on time critical jobs and burn the midnight oil – it’s just important to determine the scope and complexity of the work beforehand. A 50% upfront payment applies to the invoice of all rush jobs needed within 48 hours.
DO I OWN THE COPYRIGHT OF THE DESIGN WORK?
Of course, I design work for my clients to use at their disposal and firmly believe they should have control of content they’ve paid for. All copyrights are transferred over to the client upon full payment being made.
TELL ME A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHAT’S INVOLVED IN THE DESIGN PROCESS?
Once we’ve discussed the scope, cost and deadline for your project, we’ll start the journey. Firstly we’ll put our heads together to discuss in more detail exactly what you’re after. I may get you to fill out a brief – or perhaps we’ll just chat through it in-depth – whatever suits the project (and you) best.
We can meet up in-person if you’re in the Melbourne area, or can easily chat via phone, skype or email… completely up to you. We’ll have a bit of back and forth while we work through draft rounds; refining and editing. It may take one – it may take 5. That’s not important, what is important is that we get it right and you’re happy.
I’m a big believer that design (and copywriting) is personal, and it’s essential that you are proud of the work that’s created. So proud in fact, you’ll even want to show your mother in law. With your input, I’ll polish the work into its final, shiny form. All work comes to you for final sign-off so we can tick every box before we wrap up.
MY SISTER-IN-LAWS BROTHERS FRIEND HAS A FRIEND WHO OFFERED TO DESIGN MY LOGO AND CAN BUILD MY WEBSITE FOR $150 WHY SHOULD I PAY YOU TO DO ONE?
The classic question… Well, unless they are a qualified and experienced designer I would approach with caution. In the industry you usually get what you pay for and results can sometimes be dire. It’s best to invest a little in the beginning and get your brand started on the right (or left) foot. Be mindful of what professional graphic design and web design involves – make sure you are getting designs which are not using borrowed Google images. Most of all, do some research and ask the right questions. If I bought a drill would it make me a tradie*?
*I do in fact own a drill, but home repairs are currently not my side hustle.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Unfortunately I do not work from the beach because the sunlight reflects off the computer screen and sand just gets everywhere… I tried it twice.
Kept company by two feline amigos, I am based in a home office studio in Melbourne, Victoria Australia and (when I’m feeling fancy) occasionally hot desk at co-work spots in town.
DO YOU PROVIDE PRINTING?
Not personally, but I have some great relationships with quality printers and would be happy to put you in touch.
Yes it’s possible. For projects over $500 payment plans are available and worked around what suits you best. For projects on payment plans, a small deposit is required before work commences.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
